Graduate Development
Probably the most important skill that graduates need to develop when entering the business world is the ability to influence, network and manage relationships effectively at all levels.
Over the last decade we have evolved a very successful approach to help individuals in the financial sector to become significantly more influential both inside and outside their organisation.
We have also trained graduates in the following areas: Assertiveness, Managing Upwards, contributing to and running meetings effectively, Negotiating, Handling Conflict, Developing Others, Creative Problem Solving, Action Learning.
What people are saying about our services
“Really addressed the issues they were facing”
“Barclays has worked with Indigo for a number of years to develop a training programme for graduates on the Business Leadership Programme. The trainers from Indigo were able to add real value in the graduates’ development by designing an influencing programme which really addressed the issues they were facing when trying to operate effectively in a large multinational corporation. The feedback from delegates was that they were treated as real individuals and the course was created so that they could put into practice the skills they had learned and focus this on a real life situation. The trainers from Indigo were excellent at evolving the learning experience so that it kept pace with the changes in the organisation as well as the graduates we were hiring.” Lucy Shackleton – Head of Entry Talent, Barclays Bank. 2005
“Given our graduates tools, techniques & confidence”
“The Communication and Influencing Programme as run by Indigo has given our graduates the tools, techniques and confidence to both support and challenge colleagues in the workplace.” Ian Licence – H.R. Director, Barclaycard International. 2005
“Practical and relevant”
“The Influencing Programme provided real self insight into my own style and an opportunity to develop new ones. Practical and relevant, it is a programme that gave a really good grounding into this important skill which will stand anyone wishing to develop their own personal effectiveness in very good stead.” Ben Blunt – Senior H.R. Business Partner, Abbey. 2005
“Given me added confidence in how I deal with people”
“As well as giving me an insight into the theory and techniques behind influencing others, this course provided a number of role play opportunities to practise a range of skills that could be used accordingly in any influencing situation. By the end of the course, I had personally developed much confidence and an understanding of how to use the skills we covered. Since returning to work, I believe that this course not only helped me to go on to successfully influence others, but has also given me added confidence in how I deal with people on a daily basis.” Louisa Drake – Executive Assistant to Director, H.R. Specialist Practise, Barclays Bank. 2005
